Howard Gilstrap was the Bishop the whole time I was a teenager (about 69 or70 through at least 1976). He was definitely Bishop when I got married in 1975 and for at least the next couple of years. I will ask my aunt if she knows the exact years.
I don't know the dates, but William McKay was the bishop in between Douglas Cusworth and Howard Gilstrap.
I have copies of the Stake Directories from 1968 - 2010 (presumably including lists of all Bishops, etc...).
I was a member of the old Westdale 2nd Ward (later Culver City Ward) and its predecessors from 1953-59, then moved to Brentwood Ward where my membership was from 1959-74. I have many happy memories of those days.
Dave, if you would like to work out a way to get me either a photocopy or a PDF of your collection of stake directories, I would be happy to help with the work of "filling in the holes" in this history ... assuming the blog host is agreeable.
I will get you Howard Gilstrap's dates.
